Affiliate Lab Review – Is it Legit or a Total Scam?

This review of Affiliate Lab is going to explain what you need to know before you try it, including:

    1. If it’s really a scam or if it’s legitimate.
    2. How it really works.
    3. The pros and cons.
    4. How much you can expect to spend if you buy it.
    5. And if there’s better alternatives (in my opinion, there is a BETTER option, but more on that later).

The quick overview:

  • Name: Affiliate Lab
  • Owner: Matt Diggity
  • Pricing: $997 (or 2x $597) for the course plus optional add on tools which may cost up to $1,000/month.
  • What do you learn? Making profitable affiliate websites via blogging/SEO mainly.
  • Is it a scam? No its a great program but there are a few areas where I think there may be better/more affordable alternatives.
  • Rating: 75 out of 100 points

Do I recommend Affiliate Lab? Mostly yes, but:

Overall Affiliate Lab has excellent stuff for helping people develop profitable affiliate sites, but there are a few parts of this program I wish were different:

  1. Pricing is a bit high ($997) with the option to get other tools/services that may be $1,000/month.
  2. No refund policy.
  3. No way to try it for free.

Bottom line: I run a full time affiliate business (through blogging, SEO and other methods) and I think that Affiliate Lab is legitimate, but I also think that there’s better alternatives to it that aren’t just WAY cheaper, but also teach similar type of material and more.

Better alternatives? Yes (More info on that below).

Back to the Affiliate Lab review:

Summary of the program:

According to several sources, Affiliate Lab is mainly a program which teaches people a combination of making niche websites that rank well on search engines, get lots of visitors and make money through affiliate marketing (a type of online business where you promote other people’s products).

There are over 100 lessons offered inside the program that go over basically everything needed to get up and running in this business including:

  • Making websites
  • SEO tips/advice and strategies
  • Content planning.
  • Outsourcing content
  • Email marketing and much more
  • Flipping websites and much more
  • Source 1, source 2, source 3

What is the full price of the program?

Other than the $997 for the training, members can optionally buy extra tools/services which may help with the speed of results. By Affiliate Lab’s own landing page, it can cost $200-$1,000 extra a month on top of the $997:

Pros:

  • Mostly positive reviews across the board.
  • Success stories are present.
  • Very transparent program.
  • The strategies and methods taught are legitimate.
  • Beginner-advanced level training

Cons:

  • A bit expensive at $997
  • While other tools are optional, it can add up to $1,000/month extra.
  • The no refund policy is a bummer for me but I understand why it’s there.
  • There’s already a lot of alternatives to Affiliate Lab that are as good in my opinion and teach the same/more stuff than it does (and cheaper to try), like Wealthy Affiliate.

My final thoughts on Affiliate Lab and better alternatives:

As someone who currently makes money online full time through methods taught in Affiliate Lab, has reviewed 100s of make money online programs and understands this business I am very confident in Affiliate Lab’s ability to help users build profitable affiliate sites as long as they actually do/apply the training. Here’s actually some of my personal reports on this:

However being that:

  • Affiliate Lab does not offer refunds.
  • It may be a bit expensive on top of that for some people.
  • And there’s no way to try it out for free.

It may not be for everyone which is why I do believe alternatives are worth looking at if you’re a beginner/tight on money and considering that I personally got my results in this business through a program that teaches similar stuff and didn’t cost me that much, I know such alternatives exist.

Alternatives? Yep! Why the Wealthy Affiliate program is my top choice:

Wealthy Affiliate is the program I learned all of my affiliate business skills from as well as the reason why I make money online full time today.

They do provide similar training to Affiliate Lab but their main specialty is helping people create a profitable website on any passions you have in life and monetizing it various ways (including with affiliate marketing).

So if you love mountain biking for example, they’ll show you how to create a profitable website on mountain bikes (promoting them, putting ads on the site, etc…).

Here’s why it’s better than Affiliate Lab in my opinion:

  1. It’s free to join (literally, no CC required).
  2. Also beginner friendly.
  3. Better on YOUR wallet ($0 to try, then $49/month).
  4. Teaches more than blogging, SEO and affiliate marketing.
  5. Similar material to Affiliate Lab
  6. It has more success stories than Affiliate Lab.
  7. Very high Trustpilot rating (4.9 out of 5 stars).
  8. Excellent support including expert coaching.
  9. And much more.

Bottom line: You don’t have to invest crazy money with Wealthy Affiliate (or in general to succeed online).

One of the many fallacies I often run into is that because a program is expensive, it means it’s worth it. Perhaps that’s true in certain cases, but with Wealthy Affiliate, you get immense value and you can actually try it for free to see that.
