Digital Leasing Review – Is it Legit or a Total Scam?

This review of Digital Leasing is going to explain what you need to know before you try it, including:

  1. If it’s really a scam or if it’s legitimate.
  2. How it really works.
  3. The pros and cons.
  4. How much you can expect to spend if you buy it.
  5. And if there’s better alternatives (in my opinion, there is a BETTER option, but more on that later).

The quick overview:

  • Name: Digital Leasing
  • Owners: Joshua (Josh) Osborne
  • Pricing: Sources I found cite $500 to $5,000+
  • What is it? A course that teaches you to make websites for local businesses and then rank/rent them out to them for high costs.
  • Scam? No, it’s legitimate but there are objective things to consider such as the price and other things discussed below.
  • Rating: 60 out of 100 points.

Do I recommend Digital Leasing? Somewhat:

I do believe that Josh’s program has good value and can teach you to make money online, but there are several things to consider in my opinion:

  1. The pricing can be very high for some (again some sources cite $500 to $5,000+).
  2. This program basically teaches one type of online business model (lead generation for businesses) which is potentially very lucrative but might not be ideal for everyone.

Bottom line: I am a full time online businessman and I think that Josh’s program and Digital Leasing is legitimate, but I also think that there’s better alternatives to it that aren’t just WAY cheaper, but also teach similar type of material and more.

Better alternatives? Yes (More info on that below).

Back to the Digital Leasing review:

Summary of the program:

According to several sources, Digital Leasing is a program that teaches people how to make money online by basically being a “middleman” in helping different businesses find leads/clients locally.

This is done through the following type of formula:

  1. First you create a local business website/s.
  2. Then you get those website/s to rank in Google (maps/local searches/etc…) so they attract visitors
  3. Then you find businesses who would be interested in renting that site to promote their business to clients.
  4. You charge the business for that service and earn monthly profits
  5. Rinse and repeat for other business websites

The formula is absolutely legitimate and also goes by other names such as local marketing and Rank & Rent. You can potentially earn good money from even 1 client and Josh’s program goes over all the steps from A-Z to accomplish this.

How much does Digital Leasing cost?

So if you go through Josh’s main website, you have to get in touch with their team to get a quote (there is also a $2,000 discount offered), but I found a few sites which alledge the price for this program is over $5,000 (source 1, source 2). Others I have found say you need $500 or more to start but this may be in context to buying websites, hosting and other tools to start your digital leasing business and may potentially be add on costs to the course.

Pros:

  1. There are success stories.
  2. Most of the reviews I found were very positive, but they were also promoting the program.
  3. The concept of digital leasing is legitimate.
  4. Josh strikes me as a pretty transparent guy.

Cons:

  1. This concept to making money online can be very competitive.
  2. It usually takes several months or more to get websites ranking well (it’s not a guarantee)
  3. I wish the total price was listed on the front page. If the $5,000 price tag is real, then it may be out of many people’s budgets.
  4. According to Josh’s site there are also no refunds (unless I incorrectly read this):

My final thoughts on Digital Leasing and better alternatives:

As someone who currently makes money online full time and even has done work in the local marketing field, I have little doubt that Digital Leasing is legitimate and can work for people who apply it correctly. But for the large pricing (Possibly $1,000s) and focus on basically only this type of model, I wish it covered more material.

There are numerous/legitimate online business models out there (digital leasing is one of them) but I personally find it’s important to have a program that covers more than just 1 thing, and let’s people experiment with different models to see which suites them most. I’ve done local marketing before but chose to move into other fields and you may have a similar situation too.

In the end, in my opinion it’s ideal to have a program which:

  • Covers multiple online business models including local marketing
  • Is affordable for most people.
  • Fortunately I do have a program recommendation which fits that criteria:

Alternatives? Yep! Why the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) program is my top choice:

Wealthy Affiliate is the program I learned all of my online business skills from as well as the reason why I make money online full time today.

While they do provide similar training on what Digital Leasing covers, their main specialty is helping people create a profitable website on any passions you have in life and monetizing it various ways.

So if you love mountain biking for example, they’ll show you how to create a profitable website on mountain bikes (promoting them, putting ads on the site, etc…).

Here’s why it’s better than Digital Leasing in my opinion:

  1. It’s free to join (literally, no CC required).
  2. It’s very beginner friendly.
  3. Better on YOUR wallet ($0 to try, then $49/month).
  4. It teaches multiple ways to create an online business.
  5. It also has similar training to digital leasing (local marketing).
  6. It has more success stories than Digital Leasing.
  7. Most independent reviews are very positive (4.9 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot).
  8. Excellent support including expert coaching.
  9. With Wealthy Affiliate you get way more for way less.

Bottom line: You don’t have to invest crazy money with Wealthy Affiliate (or in general to succeed online).

It’s free to test drive and only $49/month (or for the best membership, $99/month) if you decide to stick around. One of the many fallacies I often run into is that because a program is expensive, it means it’s worth it. Perhaps that’s true in certain cases, but with Wealthy Affiliate, you get immense value and you can actually try it for free to see that.

Wealthy Affiliate vs Digital Leasing (comparison):

My recommendation? Wealthy Affiliate (here’s how to get started):

  1. Join here (its free)
  2. Complete the set up process which has you create your first passion based website.
  3. Start the training lessons

The value of the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) speaks for itself and if you have any doubt (which is totally normal), test drive them risk free (there’s literally no credit card required).

Here’s what you get when you try the program today (all included):

  • Access to the Starter Membership of Wealthy Affiliate.
  • Access to the Hubs platform (5 step business set up process)
  • Training lessons
  • Coaching from me, Vitaliy (one of WA’s top experts).
  • And much more (join WA today and see it all for yourself).

The program does have an optional upgrade called Premium after the Starter Membership that I do highly recommend, but more than that, I recommend you first:

  • Try the Starter Membership (it’s risk free).
  • Immerse yourself in the program so you get the most out of it.
  • Use my coaching! You can contact me directly inside WA.

Wealthy Affiliate works, but it is also not a get rich quick scheme.

It will teach you how to build a REAL online business of your dreams and if you apply the training they have and work hard, you will become one of it’s MANY success stories.

And frankly speaking, I want to see you do just that. As your coach, one of my goals is to see just hat and I’ll help you along your journey there too).

Thanks for reading my review of Digital Leasing and if there are ANY questions about either program or mistakes that require corrections, feel free to mention them in the comments below!

  1. Nice to meet you. I signed up but good lord the site is very confusing/busy with content. No idea where to go or what to do next — for me that is a red flag. The website looks dated/non-intuitive and it assumes way too much knowledge on the part of a newbie.
