You may have seen an ad or someone recommend/promote Affiliate Nation to you and decided to looked further into the program. Well on this page, I’m going to share what you need to know about this program, including:
- If it’s really a scam or if it’s legitimate.
- How it really works.
- The pros and cons.
- About how much you can expect to spend if you buy it.
- And if there’s better alternatives (in my opinion, there is a BETTER option, but more on that later).
The quick overview:
- Name: Affiliate Nation.
- Owners: There are several to this program (at least 3 or more).
- Pricing: Unknown until you do a call with them (likely $1,000s).
- What do you learn? Affiliate marketing as well as investing in a done for you high ticket affiliate system they may run for you.
- Is it a scam? I don’t think believe so, but I’m not a fan yet…
- Rating: Pending…
Do I recommend Affiliate Nation? Not yet:
I believe Affiliate Nation can make you money, but based on what I have seen, researched and cross referenced with my expertise in affiliate marketing, there are several issues I see:
- First, the lack of info on HOW MUCH this opportunity costs (at least on the site).
- Second, it’s likely there is a HUGE investment necessary to get started, which I suspect is $1,000s (not recommend if you’re tight on money).
This is not the first opportunity of it’s kind that I have come across so I can explain how this program works better than most (and if I am wrong, am happy to update this), but beginners may not understand this stuff, so this post will help fill in the blanks:
Better alternatives? Yes (More info on that below).
Back to the Affiliate Nation review:
Summary of the program:
The Affiliate Nation program (at least to me) is multi layered:
1) You have access to courses that teach you affiliate marketing (social media, traffic, lead generation, high ticket sales, ect…).
They actually offer several membership levels, but I could not access any one of them.
They have a registration option, but clicking it only takes me to a log in screen (which is for existing members).
So that was a dead end for me. Here is an example:
And that is actually one of several links I tried to access on their “member center” area. The lack of being able to actually sign up this way leads me to believe that (maybe) the only way to do it is through going through their questionaire and team call (all roads in my opinion may lead to this).
2) Next, you have their done for you high ticket affiliate system (potentially $1,000s in costs):
Long story short, you join Affiliate Nation by paying one (or potentially more) high ticket costs, and then become an affiliate for the program, earning 50% for each sale you generate.
If you’re brand new, you can use the courses/training they provide, OR you can let them do the work for you where they will create ads, send traffic to your affiliate page and close the sales for you (the done for you element of Affiliate Nation).
I assume the latter part (the done for you one) is more costly, but basically, for every sale their team generates for you, you will keep 50% commissions and basically be running your own “hands off” business (this is my opinion and interpretation based on what I’ve seen and know about such businesses).
Pros:
- This can certainly be a very “hands off” program with the done for you elements.
- I would say it’s good for total beginners.
- There are 1,000’s of members (supposedly) and success stories.
- Trustpilot rates them high (4.7 out of 5), but there’s only 7 reviews (not much sample size).
- Potentially very lucrative (high ticket affiliate commissions in the $1,000s per sale).
Cons:
- Their website in my opinion is not very informative about the risks/costs and so forth (lack of transparency).
- It’s very difficult to get any clue/info about the pricing and more unless you get in touch with their team.
- High ticket opportunities like this may likely cost $1,000s (this source says it’s $10,000).
- Their done for you system elements (like running ads/traffic for you) may also be additional high costs ($100s-$1,000s).
- No guarantees of course (know this for ANY opportunity, not just this).
- Not for people in my opinion who have little or no money.
My final thoughts on Affiliate Nation:
This opportunity can work, but the long and short of it that it will likely be very expensive ($1,000s in my opinion) and if you’re not someone who can afford to invest in this, I would consider other opportunities. And if you can, I suspect additional costs (ad running and potential upsells) may be extra stuff to pay. Online ads are NOT cheap these days.
I also believe there are better and more clearly explained programs out there that are better for both beginners and those tight on money.
Alternatives? Yep! Why the Wealthy Affiliate program is my top choice:
Wealthy Affiliate is also an affiliate marketing program, but what it teaches people is to build profitable affiliate websites on passions they have in life and drive free traffic to them (there is also more advanced training after that).
Here’s why it’s better than Affiliate Nation in my opinion:
- It’s free to test drive (no CC needed).
- WAY more transparent info on the site.
- Not a high ticket program.
- You can use it’s training to promote high ticket items.
- Also very beginner friendly.
- Better on YOUR wallet: $0 to try, then $49/month (full training).
- It teaches multiple ways to do affiliate marketing.
- It has more success stories than Affiliate Nation.
- More flexibility: Build an online business on YOUR passions.
- You get the best support including expert coaching.
- 4.9 on Trustpilot (100s of very positive reviews).
- You can speak to the owners directly 24-7 (and experts too).
- And there’s much more.
Bottom line: You don’t have to invest crazy money with Wealthy Affiliate (or in general to succeed in affiliate marketing).
It’s free to test drive and only $49/month if you decide to stick around. There is also a $99/month membership, but that’s more for long term members.
I have personally attained all of my success in affiliate marketing through them to know much of the same materials (and more) that some of the “Premium” courses out there charge $1,000s for. But let me get into comparisons for a moment:
Here’s a side by side comparison of Wealthy Affiliate vs Affiliate Nation:
My recommendation? Wealthy Affiliate (here’s how to get started):
The value of the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) speaks for itself and if you have any doubt (which is totally normal), test drive them risk free (there’s literally no credit card required).
Here’s what you get when you try the program today (all included):
- Access to the Starter Membership of Wealthy Affiliate.
- 10 lesson getting started course.
- 1 website included.
- 7 day access to the WA community (help/support).
- 7 days coaching from me, Vitaliy (one of WA’s top experts).
- And much more (join WA today and see it all for yourself).
The program does have an optional upgrade called Premium after the Starter Membership that I do highly recommend, but more than that, I recommend you first:
- Try the Starter Membership (it’s risk free).
- Immerse yourself in the program so you get the most out of it.
- Use my 7 day coaching! You can contact me directly inside WA.
Wealthy Affiliate works, but it is also not a get rich quick scheme.
It will teach you how to build a REAL online business of your dreams and if you apply the training they have and work hard, you will become one of it’s MANY success stories.
And frankly speaking, I want to see you do just that. As your coach, one of my goals is to see just hat and I’ll help you along your journey there too).
Thanks for reading my article on Affiliate Nation and if there are ANY questions about either program, or you feel there was something incorrect that needs updating, feel free to let me know in the comments below. I’d be more than happy to update this review.
How much is the ALL IN Premium program cost.
Hi Teresa, there is no “all in” premium in Wealthy Affliate. It’s $49/month or $497 yearly (recurring). There is a premium plus ($99/month) and yearly which is $697 a year. I’d start with starter (which is free) and go from there.
