Is Build Your Empire University The Real Deal? What You Need to Know:

In this review of Build Your Empire University, I’m going to cover the most important things you need to know regarding the program, including:

  1. If it’s really a scam or if it’s legitimate.
  2. How it really works.
  3. The pros and cons.
  4. How much you can expect to spend if you buy it.
  5. And if there’s better alternatives (in my opinion, there is a BETTER option, but more on that later).

The quick overview:

  • Name: Build Your Empire University (BYEU).
  • Owner: Brody and Ashley (founders).
  • Pricing: $1 trial for 7 days, then $99/month and $100s/$1,000s in potential upsells.
  • What do you learn? Affiliate marketing mostly, promoting BYEU and enagic water filters for high ticket commissions.
  • Is it a scam? No, it’s legitimate but has objective things to consider.
  • Rating: 40 out of 100 points.

Do I recommend Build Your Empire University? Not really:

And there are 3 reasons why:

  1. First, most of what this program entails is self promotional (I like flexibility for affiliate marketing).
  2. Second, a lot of the strategies covered in promoting this program are in my opinion advanced/expensive.
  3. Third, there’s potentially A LOT of spending involved which in this case is $1,000s in buying enagic water filters. I personally am not on board with that, but if you are, I would advise only getting involved with this IF you have the money to risk/invest. I’m not a fan of putting in money you don’t have into opportunities that obviously have no guarantees.

Better alternatives? Yes (More info on that below).

Back to the Build Your Empire University review:

Summary of the program:

Build Your Empire University (BYEU) is basically an affiliate marketing training program that teaches you to create an online business via 2 main methods:

  1. First, you can become an affiliate for BYEU and promote the membership site for people.
  2. Second, you can buy and then promote enagic water filters and earn (potentially) high ticket commissions.

People considering joining this program can try it out for $1 (7 day trial) which gets them introductory access to it and this basically gets you the following:

  1. A lot of videos that cover the basics of BYEU.
  2. Lots of mindset and success story videos.
  3. A lot of videos on training in getting started.

The last one (training videos) is what I was personally most interested in and to summarize, this is what is covered:

  • You learn about buying websites to run your business.
  • You also learn about the opportunity to make money promoting enagic water filters.
  • You learn about promoting BYEU through email marketing, social media fan pages (like on Facebook) and even making ads.

There is a 30 day action plan type program in place to help you get started.

Costwise, this differs because there are different ways to go. Here’s a breadown:

  • $1 trial for 7 days.
  • Then $99/month to remain a member.
  • And then there’s the cost to get enagic water filters ($100s, and even $1,000s).
  • Additionally, people can elect to buy a domain (Maybe $10 a year).
  • An autoresponder (Aweber) which is like $50 a month (I use it).
  • And even things like Clickfunnels ($97-$297 a month).
  • Ad costs to run your ads on social media (could be $100s and even $1,000s on it’s own). This last one is optional but would provide a faster start up.

Pros:

  1. I believe BYEU is legit.
  2. Good Trustpilot reviews (4.9 out of 5).
  3. $1 trial available (good value offered for that in my opinion).
  4. BYEU is not pushy in it’s sales stuff.
  5. There are success stories.
  6. Good support.
  7. Somewhat beginner friendly.

Cons:

  1. Enagic water filters carry a lot of controversy.
  2. You may potentially end up spending a lot on this business venture ($1,000s).
  3. Very much focused on the promotion of BYEU/Enagic water filters (again, I like flexibility).
  4. Lots of the training in BYEU (ads, autoresponders, Clickfunnels) is a bit advanced/expensive in my opinion.
  5. If you don’t have a lot to money to invest in the opportunity, I would be careful.

My final thoughts on Build Your Empire University:

The program is legit and let’s people see a lot for just $1 and if there’s any doubts, check it out for yourself to determine if you want to stick around.

For me personally, I’ve come across VERY similar programs like BYEU before and have never been a fan, not so much due to the program itself, but the whole enagic water tie in. That carries A LOT of controversy as some call it a scam and I personally wonder if people would be so adamant about promoting “healthy water filters” if they weren’t being paid big commissions for it (it’s a serious question worth asking).

Now aside from that, there are 2 main issues I see that ultimately make me back away from Build Your Business Empire:

First (again), the focus on self promotion. I’m a BIG fan of people being trained to make online businesses in THEIR passions. What do you do if promoting BYEU or selling enagic water filters isn’t your passion? Well you can technically use their training to still do it, but I prefer programs that focus on the individual user and helping turn their passions into online businesses. I don’t think BYEU is the best for that.

Second, the expenses. All “potential” talk aside, you may have to spend a lot on this program and while there is potential for success certainly, I am very careful in ever recommending that people who may not have a lot to start with to throw down a lot of money for “potential success”.

There are many ways to build a success online business without spending a TON! And this is where we’ll talk about alternatives to do that:

Alternatives? Yep! Why the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) program is my top choice:

Wealthy Affiliate is similar to Build Your Empire University in that it also teaches affiliate marketing and how to build an online business with it.

But there are 3 stark differences where it’s better in my opinion:

First, they actually do offer courses on helping you turn your individual passions in life to online businesses. Long story short, they teach you to make profitable sites on any passion you have in life.

Second, they are actually INEXPENSIVE and great for those who are tight on money to start with to help you build the business you want before investing the profits into more advanced strategies (which they teach too).

Third, there are more methods of online business taught aside from affiliate marketing (local marketing, course creation, ect…)

And here’s additional reasons I think Wealthy Affiliate is better than Build Your Empire University:

  1. It’s free to test drive (no CC needed).
  2. It’s more beginner friendly.
  3. Better on YOUR wallet ($0 to try, then $49/month).
  4. It teaches multiple ways to do affiliate marketing too.
  5. It has more success stories than Build Your Empire University.
  6. Flexibility: You can build an online business on YOUR passions.
  7. Also very positive reviews on Truspilot (4.9 out of 5 stars).
  8. You get the best support including expert coaching.
  9. More value offered across the board for your membership.
  10. And there’s much more.

Bottom line: You don’t have to invest crazy money with Wealthy Affiliate (or in general to succeed online).

It’s free to test drive and only $49/month if you decide to stick around the program. There is also an optional $99/month option which offers access to expert webinars/classes.

Here’s a side by side comparison of Wealthy Affiliate vs Build Your Empire University:

My recommendation? Wealthy Affiliate (here’s how to get started):

The value of the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) speaks for itself and if you have any doubt (which is totally normal), test drive them risk free (there’s literally no credit card required).

Here’s what you get when you try the program today (all included):

  • Access to the Starter Membership of Wealthy Affiliate.
  • 10 lesson getting started course.
  • 1 website included.
  • 7 day access to the WA community (help/support).
  • 7 days coaching from me, Vitaliy (one of WA’s top experts).
  • And much more (join WA today and see it all for yourself).

The program does have an optional upgrade called Premium after the Starter Membership that I do highly recommend, but more than that, I recommend you first:

  • Try the Starter Membership (it’s risk free).
  • Immerse yourself in the program so you get the most out of it.
  • Use my 7 day coaching! You can contact me directly inside WA.

Wealthy Affiliate works, but it is also not a get rich quick scheme.

It will teach you how to build a REAL online business of your dreams and if you apply the training they have and work hard, you will become one of it’s MANY success stories.

And frankly speaking, I want to see you do just that. As your coach, one of my goals is to see just hat and I’ll help you along your journey there too).
