I joined Legendary Marketer (but ended up leaving) and in this review I’m going to cover the most important things you need to know regarding David Sharpe’s program, including:
- If it’s really a scam or if it’s legitimate.
- How it really works.
- The pros and cons.
- How much you can expect to spend if you buy it.
- Why I left.
- And if there’s better alternatives (in my opinion, there is a BETTER option, but more on that later).
The quick overview:
- Name: Legendary Marketer.
- Owner: David Sharpe.
- Pricing: Prices start at $1 and up to several $10,000’s.
- What do you learn? Basically affiliate marketing and paid ads.
- Is it a scam? No, but the prices are too high + my experiences weren’t that positive either.
- Rating: 30 out of 100 points
Do I recommend Legendary Marketer? No:
I do believe Legendary Marketer can teach you to make money online, but there are several problems in my opinion:
- You have to pay a lot to learn this (Up to $10,000+ in some cases).
- I joined the $30/month program and didn’t like my experience (low value, limited access, poor support).
- There are better alternatives that teach the same material for SO MUCH LESS than Legendary Marketer.
Bottom line: I joined Legendary Marketer as an experienced person at making money online and I can tell you for a fact that what they teach you can learn elsewhere and will never have to pay so much to do it. Besides that, I didn’t like my experience and left.
Better alternatives? Yes (More info on that below).
Back to the Legendary Marketer review:
Summary of the program:
Legendary Marketer is a multi layered program that teaches you to make money online and the main method taught is affiliate marketing (promoting other people’s products).
Depending on which course/package you pay for, you will get access to one or more training courses that will teach you this material and more.
From my experiences there and research, much of the training within Legendary Marketer revolves a lot about how to promote high ticket items/courses, and that includes Legendary Marketer itself.
To get started with Legendary Marketer and this training, you have many options/prices. Here are some:
- 15 Day Challenge ($7).
- Legendary Marketer eBook ($9.95).
- Legendary Marketer’s Club ($30 a month, and the one I was a member off).
- Traffic Rolodex ($247).
- Affiliate Business Blueprint ($2,500).
- Digital Products Business Blueprint ($2,500).
- Marketer Mastermind ($8,000).
- Entreprenuer Mastermind ($12,000).
- DFY Brand Builder ($10,000).
- Legendary Leadership Group ($30,000).
- And more.
Note: Prices may change and if you’d like to see the other options, here’s 1 source for that.
Pros:
- I think the training is OK in parts (probably better in the most expensive packages).
- There are success stories.
- Some eBooks and courses are for an affordable price.
- You can earn high ticket commissions promoting Legendary Marketer.
Cons:
- The $30 membership I tried wasn’t amazing (I’d rate it 15 out of 100 points).
- I believe the upsells in this program are outrageous (Up to $10,000 in costs).
- I do not believe you need to pay so much to learn how to succeed online!
- You can learn these same business models for much less (info below).
- I have mixed views on David Sharpe due to his previous program Empower Network.
- I was not happy with the membership experience I had in this program.
- Trustpilot ratings for Legendary Marketer aren’t very high (3.1 out of 5).
- There’s way too many alternatives already to Legendary Marketer that in my opinion are better (and cheaper to try), like Wealthy Affiliate.
My final thoughts on Legendary Marketer (and better alternatives):
In my opinion, Legendary Marketer can teach you to succeed online, but at the same time, the best stuff is likely inside their more expensive courses/packages which again can reach several $1,000s and then $10,000s and I don’t believe you need to spend this much!
Some would argue with me, but I’m an experienced individual in this business who has seen what else is out there and I don’t believe you should pay this much.
Why is Legendary Marketer so popular (an inconvenient opinion):
I believe the reason this program is marketed/promoted so much is because it pays it’s affiliates high ticket commissions and that incentive is one of the reasons why so many people say good things about it and to be fair, it may be justified.
But in my opinion, commission incentives often change how people talk about a program (in my experience):
- Offer them more and they’ll speak wonders about it.
- Offer them little and nothing, and you may get a completely different message.
So why did I leave this program? 3 reasons:
- Crazy prices to proceed further (I don’t think it’s worth it).
- Limited training/value for the $30 a month.
- Poor support in my opinion (screenshot right).
Alternatives? Yep! Why the Wealthy Affiliate program is my top choice:
Wealthy Affiliate also teaches the similar ways to succeed online as Legendary Marketer (affiliate marketing).
But what they specifically help you do is create a profitable website on any passion you have in life through the affiliate marketing model and just as well, other online business models are also taught later on.
Everything I saw and heard about in Legendary Marketer, I have already known about and made money from thanks to Wealthy Affiliate’s training. It’s why I know what Legendary Marketer teaches works, but also why I know you can learn it in better places like Wealthy Affiliate (and for a ton less).
Here’s why it’s better than Legendary Marketer in my opinion:
- It’s free to test drive (no CC needed).
- It’s more beginner friendly.
- Better on YOUR wallet ($0 to try, then $49/month).
- No packaged training: You get everything for 1 low monthly price.
- It teaches multiple ways to do affiliate marketing.
- It has more success stories than Legendary Marketer.
- High Trustpilot rating (4.9 out of 5 stars).
- You get the best support including expert coaching.
- And there’s much more.
Bottom line: You don’t have to invest crazy money with Wealthy Affiliate (or in general to succeed online). It’s free to test drive and only $49/month if you decide to stick around.
One of the many fallacies I often run into is that because a program is expensive, it means it’s worth it. Perhaps that’s true in certain cases, but with Wealthy Affiliate, you get immense value and you can test drive it risk free first to see that.
Wealthy Affiliate vs Legendary Marketer comparison:
My recommendation? Wealthy Affiliate (here’s how to get started):
- Join here (its free)
- Complete the set up process which has you create your first passion based website.
- Start your training
The value of the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) speaks for itself and if you have any doubt (which is totally normal), test drive them risk free (there’s literally no credit card required).
Here’s what you get when you try the program today (all included):
- Access to the Starter Membership of Wealthy Affiliate.
- Access to a business set up blueprint
- A starter course
- Coaching from me, Vitaliy (one of WA’s top experts).
- And much more (join WA today and see it all for yourself).
The program does have 2 optional upgrades called Premium and Premium Plus after the Starter Membership that I do highly recommend, but more than that, I recommend you first:
- Try the Starter Membership (it’s risk free).
- Immerse yourself in the program so you get the most out of it.
- Use my coaching! You can contact me directly inside WA.
Wealthy Affiliate works, but it is also not a get rich quick scheme.
It will teach you how to build a REAL online business of your dreams and if you apply the training they have and work hard, you will become one of it’s MANY success stories.
And frankly speaking, I want to see you do just that. As your coach, one of my goals is to see just hat and I’ll help you along your journey there too).
Thanks for reading my review of Legendary Marketer and if there are ANY questions about either program or mistakes that require corrections, feel free to mention them in the comments below!
This is an absolutely ridiculous, not to mention inaccurate, review of Legendary Marketer. You really should not review a company that you have some sort of preexisting bias against, which you indicated was the case here. Quite frankly, it’s deceptive & shows a lack of integrity. Your facts are not even accurate. Legendary (David Sharpe) teaches about 4 core business models – Courses, Coaching, Events, and Affiliate Marketing (not just affiliate, as your review claims). And even more importantly, they teach the necessity of mindset shift in those who truly want to be successful, & David Sharpe has built a community of supporting, like-minded entrepreneurs who actively engage in helping other people learn how to build stable, legit, thriving businesses. The only reason i am even on this page is because i was led here by a SPONSORED (aka PAID) AD that i clicked on Bing’s main page. Yet you seem to be somewhat dismissive of them when referencing Legendary in your review. Paid ads aren’t even really discussed much at all in Legendary’s material – they are primarily focused on teaching how to generate authentic (organic) traffic. You have no less than a dozen affiliate links to a Wealthy Affiliate funnel embedded in this article where you’re throwing a lot of shade at a very respectable company. A trustworthy review should be facts, not biases.
Yeah ok I totally disagree with most of what you said. Legendary Marketer has merit, but you never once denied the price tags I listed above for the courses/learning material and I never promote programs that cost that much. I have friends who promote Legendary Marketer actively and I also get a lot of information about the program from them too. Then there’s also news reports like these worth considering. People are free to try/buy whatever they want, but it sounds like a lot of your personal claims against me are more like projection than anything else.
